My name is David Chung, and I am an Assistant Professor at the Gies College of Business, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

My research examines corporate strategy and technology strategy, with an emphasis on platform ecosystems. For instance, I study how platforms’ strategies (e.g., governance, diversification, acquisition) influence complementor activities across platforms and industries.

Other than research, I like re-watching Friends series, running, and soccer. I am also a big fan of EDM festivals.
